TGIF!

Craig got moved to the nephrology/urology/dialysis floor last night. It's nice to have new digs and a different view out the window.

Today was a big day for Craig. Mid morning he got a central line placed and then got his first dialysis treatment this afternoon. They dialyzed for 2 hours, which is about 1/2 the usual time. They want to do it gently and gradually so it isn't too much of a shock to his system. His weight only went down about 1/2 pound. Tomorrow will be 3 hours.

He tolerated it very well but is very tired tonight. A good visit with David Sharp tonight. There is a visitors room on the floor with a window that might be ideal for viewing fireworks on the 4th.

Craig is planning a family trip in a camper/trailer to Yellowstone for next summer, which is a good sign -- you can put the boy in a hospital bed, but you can't squelch his enthusiasm for life and good times.

Love, Sharon
