Hello All --

Today Craig swallowed a little camera capsule that took 1 photo every 2 seconds for 8 hours while traveling through the small intestine. That will be read on Monday. Drs are trying to be complete. Not really expecting to find anything there. It was nice to have something happen on a Saturday, because usually not much happens on the weekend in a hospital.

Kidney function tests a little worse today -- Drs still thinking due to fluid depletion from lack of appetite and desire to drink as well as BP medication (Lisinopril) which has now been discontinued. Hoping to see that turn around very soon, and he will remain hospitalized until it does. Craig continues to receive high dose steroids, albumin infusions and 3 antibiotics.

Thanks to our bright and dear physician friends Kathleen and Michael in Salt Lake City for helping think through a differential diagnosis.

This morning Craig felt pretty puny and it was discouraging to hear that the kidney tests were a bit worse. However, this evening he felt better and had the best meal in a week. The nephrologist says it will take awhile to turn things around and we need to be patient. He told Craig it will be important not to go back to work too soon. It was important for us to hear these things to have a realistic picture.

Craig is not up to visitors yet. He is still really tired and weak and could not muster up the energy for conversation. We will let you know when visiting is desirable -- if so, I would see very brief visits. However, your continued prayers are greatly appreciated. We have been touched by the many kindnesses you have shown us.

Love, Sharon
